Yoga Teacher Trainings at Blu Luna Yoga Studio and School

Yoga Alliance certified 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training

My 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification Program is perfect for anyone who wants to become a yoga teacher and also for those simply looking to dive deeper into the practice and teachings of yoga. In this training, we will cover the history and philosophy of the yoga tradition, including classic texts such as the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and The Bhagavad Gita. We will also take an in depth look at the classical alignment of a wide range of yoga poses, how to adjust and assist your students in these poses, and how to modify these poses to accommodate special populations, injuries, and different body types. You will learn sequencing strategies for teaching Hatha Basics, Hatha, and Vinyasa classes and will have the opportunity to practice teaching beginning in the first weekend. Other topics covered will include physical anatomy taught by a licensed physical therapist, mantra, yoga nidra, pranayama, and meditation, subtle body anatomy (including the chakras), and the qualities of a great teacher.

The goal of my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification Program is to produce yoga teachers that understand the basic yoga philosophies, the importance of a personal yoga and contemplation practice, how to perform the yoga poses with knowledge and skill, and how to safely and effectively use this knowledge to teach their students.

Yoga Alliance certified 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training

It is my belief that it is through practice that we become better teachers. Therefore, my 300 hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training at Blu Luna Yoga Studio and School will emphasize personal practice of asana, meditation, philosophy, and self-study in order for our graduates to take their teaching to the next level. The 300 hour program is perfect for current yoga teachers or yogis who have already completed a 200 hour program wanting to expand their knowledge and practice of yoga. Completion of this program leads to a 500 hour certification with Yoga Alliance - 500 RYT.

It is my intention that the graduates of this program will understand how to practice and teach intermediate and advanced poses as well as how to modify their classes for elderly students, pregnant students, students with larger bodies or injuries, and for the specific needs of athletes so that they will be able to make yoga accessible to any student that comes into their classroom. We will dive deeply into the teachings of Tantra, the Divine feminine, and the chakras and how to incorporate these teachings into themes, sequences, and personal practices. Finally, we will explore the foundations of Yin Yoga.

We also have some exciting guest teachers and program perks. Our super popular anatomy instructor, Dr Travis Boyle, DPT, is returning to help us dive even more deeply into our physical anatomy and modifications for students with injuries. The program also includes all textbooks and 1:1 mentorship with me.

Our 300 hour program consists of 9 modules that can be taken in any order allowing for participants to start at anytime taking up to 2 years to be considered for graduation. This makes the program affordable and convenient for everyone. Pay as you go, pay per module.
